HypnoBirthing

What WE Do

At Tranquil Tides Hypnobirthing, I believe every parent deserves to feel calm, confident, and empowered as they prepare to welcome their baby into the world.

Hypnobirthing is a proven antenatal education method that combines relaxation, breathing techniques, and practical tools to help you approach birth with confidence. Far from being “just breathing exercises,” it is about understanding how the body and mind work together during labour, reducing fear and tension, and creating the best possible environment for a positive birth experience.

As an accredited KGHypnobirthing (KGH) teacher, I follow the gold standard of hypnobirthing training, ensuring that you receive evidence-based, professional, and compassionate support throughout your journey. My passion for hypnobirthing began during my own motherhood journey.

After experiencing a difficult first birth, I discovered hypnobirthing while preparing for the arrival of my second baby.

With the help of the tools I learned, I was able to achieve a VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean)—an experience that transformed my view of birth and inspired me to share these techniques with others.

At Tranquil Tides, my goal is to guide you through a course that not only equips you with practical skills for labour, but also builds your confidence, strengthens your support network, and helps you approach birth with calm and trust in your body.

Whether you’re planning your first birth, preparing for a VBAC, or simply looking for ways to feel more relaxed and in control, hypnobirthing can make a difference.

Calm. Confident. Empowered. That is the Tranquil Tides approach to birth.

About Sarah

Hi! I’m Sarah, and I’m 35 mum of 2 girls. I practised hypnobirthing myself for my second birth after a traumatic first birth which led to having a caesarean birth through the effects of fear on my body.

I had a beautiful VBAC birth second time around, 8 years ago, and I’ve been an advocate for Hypnobirthing ever since, recommending it to all friends and family until I decided to do the KGH training myself.

My background is in early years and education.
I love the outdoors and nature, hiking, paddle boarding and just being out with my daughters and husband.
